Along with the Hungarians' intellectual approach to life, they have the ability to write poetry that when read aloud can make people cry who do not understand a word of the language. History is mixed with fascinating stories of heroes and villains, and sometimes it is hard to tell which is which. Fact and fiction are equally important to the culture. They also have a rich history of fictional tales that is entirely their own and not brought in from other countries or cultures.
Jesus always used stories and illustrations like these when speaking to the crowds. In fact, He never spoke to them without using such parables. Mat. 13:34 (NLT)
Pray that the cultural love of poems and stories will be used creatively to spread truths about Jesus Christ.
